A night with us

Jacques will welcome you from 3:00 p.m.. After the reception formalities (refreshment, registration, payment,… stampment*), you can use the plastic boxes to take the belongings you will need in the gîte. You will then have to abandon (temporarily…) your faithful companions and confidants of the Way (rucksack, shoes and poles) which will spend the night on the ground floor. This short separation will allow you on one hand to experience a more intense reunion the next morning and on the other hand to avoid the "inconveniences"** that they could cause to the other pilgrims.

Jacques will then make you meet your new best friend for the night: a good bed with at least a fitted sheet and a pillow. Depending on the level of comfort you want, you can also have a duvet and towels. The shower, the laundry area and the kitchen will then be at your disposal for your “gîte routine” before setting off to explore the city.

Be careful not to let yourself be tempted by the calm of the garden or the common room: you might prefer to stay there rather than discover Cahors, which would be a shame !

We will have dinner at 7:15 p.m. and the gite closes at 10:00 p.m. (doors and lights) to ensure that we are in good shape the next morning. Breakfast will be ready at the time you want unless everyone must leave before 8:30 a.m.: after crossing the Valentré bridge, the climb to the Croix Magne is short but brutal. It is best to do it before the heat arrives. Arriving on the ridge, a last look back will allow you to take in our beautiful city one last time and will definitely engrave the good memories of it in your minds.

*  I know, "stamping" would have been better, but it doez not rhyme

** You see what I mean: we've all experienced it...

Dinner

What's better than an invigorating dinner after a nice or hard day's walk?

Served at 7:15 p.m., the menu of the day is unique and consists of a starter, a main course and a dessert, composed according to the mood of the day, the market and the weather. You will benefit from the generosity of the region, which offers us both the beautiful water of the Chartreux' source and the product of Malbec: you may see a few feet of it when you leave our place.

As the products are fresh and generally cooked daily, it's nicer to let us know as soon as possible if you want to dine at the gîte.

An equipped kitchen is also available for those who prefer to prepare their own meals.

Cahors is also a stopover town on the Way, and perhaps you would prefer to go dinne in town: there are plenty of nice restaurants offering a wide variety of culinary styles.
